About Us
Family Health NP Immediate Care is excited to provide quality, accessible, and reliable urgent care services to the residents of Wayne County and the surrounding communities. It is our belief that our services will help alleviate overcrowding of emergency departments and limit unnecessary travel to denser parts of the city, helping to keep all community members safer. Family Health NP Immediate Care is the only urgent care in the town of Ontario, New York, and we are proud to be nurse practitioner-owned and operated.
Conveniently located off the 104 thoroughfare in Ontario, in front of the Tops Plaza, we are open 7 days a week, including evenings and holidays. Our clinicians and staff are ready to treat a range of illnesses and injuries, with dedicated pediatric, adult, and complex injury treatment rooms. We will see you there whenever you need urgent care!
What is a Nurse Practitioner (NP)?
Family Health NP Immediate Care is a nurse practitioner-owned urgent care. All nurse practitioners must complete a master's or doctoral degree program and have advanced clinical training beyond their initial professional registered nurse (RN) preparation. They undergo rigorous national certification, periodic peer review, and clinical outcome evaluations, and adhere to a code for ethical practices.
Nurse Practitioners are cost-effective and high-quality care providers that practice autonomously and in coordination with health care professionals and other individuals. Your nurse practitioner can prescribe your medications, devices, treatments, and modalities. As licensed, independent clinicians, nurse practitioners provide safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, equitable, and evidenced-based care.
